The first wave is said to hit the Philippines on Sunday (2/28/2010) at 12:27AM EST (1:27PM local time) according to National Weather Services.

Friendly reminder po to all busy bees: Ash Wednesday po ngayon, so don’t forget to go to church at magpalagay ng abo sa noo.
Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent and happens forty-six days (forty days not counting Sundays) before Easter. It is a moveable feast, falling on a different date each year because it is dependent on the date of Easter. It can happen as early as 4 February or as late as 10 March. – wikipedia
Last year, Ash Wednesday fell on the 25th of February.

The many games and activities are just a couple of reasons why Pandacan Fiesta is so much fun. Games like Basagang Palayok, Talent shows like Dance Contest and Singing Contest are entertaining enough to keep you up all night long.
