Senator Barack Obama will be the next USA President after winning the November 4, 2008 Presidential Election. His Republican opponent Senator John McCain just finished congratulating him from his Arizona headquarters in front of his supporters.
The Democrat Barack Obama, the 44th president of the United States, and the first African-American president, is expected to show up any minute at his Chicago headquarters for his speech. Millions of emotional and overwhelmed supporters are waiting for him, as of this writing.
Congratulations to Barack Obama and his supporters! Are there any 1011 members living in the USA and voted for him?
As a Pandacan resident, do you think USA’s economy and standard of living will improve? Do you care at all?

si obama ang unang US president na pinakamalapit sa kulay ng mga pinoy. :D
kidding aside, hearing all the commentaries and messages from the coverage of the us election and from the result of the election itself (obama won by 2/3 electoral vote) i think he has the support of the grassroots and i think that is good for them. i just wish that it will work for them and hopeful, afterall, sila ang pinaka powerful nation sa mundo, number 1 na pinakikinabangan ng mga exports, dollar remittances ng pinas. sana lang sa pinas mangyari na sunod na administration may support ng gnayan karaming % ng popluation, dahil seriously, walang pinatutunguhan ang gobyerno natin. again, going back to US elections, sobrang positive ang feeling at projection ng media sa change ng government, sana sa panahon natin (ng pinas) ganyan din, makahanap ang mga pinoy ng symbol of hope, totoong source of change for the good… kailangan natin lahat un….

galing ng coverage at us election, same day result. congratulations to all US citizens, yan sana talaga ang gawin model ng pinas, im sure their election system is not perfect, pero we should learn from them. sa US di na pinag-uusapan dayaan…
i heard some of obama and mc cain’s after election speeches ang i must say they are both gentlemen and good sport. even mc cain knowing he lost, has only positive message for the americans. americans deserve much much better government than bush admin…congrats to them, now they better make their economy in shape, for the sake of smaller economies like pinas….

Yup, may mga malfunctions din ng mga machines, and there were confusions especially to the first-time voters… pero maganda talaga ang turnout ng botohan, mafi-feel mo na people really want change.
Obama and McCain are very classy and gentleman, nagkaiba lang sa mga supporters. Nung concession speech ni McCain, na-mention lang yung name ni Obama nag-”boo” ang mga tao (I’m sure Obama was watching)… On the other hand, applause were to given to McCain when Obama congratulated him for his effort/hardwork.
As for the Philippines, we still have a loooonng way before we can have a peaceful, honest, and quick election. Baby-steps ang kelangan natin before the leap.

Anyway, sino ibinoto mo?

as for the kind of supporters both mccain and obama have, I understand, meron talagang mga die-hards, democrats/republicans whoever is the personality running for position. sa kanila naman kase the position and principles of the party are sacred, unlike dito, sing dalas ng bagyo magpalit ng pananaw mga politiko. un mga first time voters at mga swing voters talaga nagpanalo kay obama, which is also good, indicating the change most americans would like from Bush government. we can only hope and pray, na sa pinas, magkaroon ng tunay na pagbabago di lang mga botante mas lalo ang mga politikong pinagpipilian natin…

i admire Barack Obama because he is very charismatic and he is liberal minded…

Barack Obama for me is the most charismatic president to be ever elected. He also makes great decisions, for example in the ecomomic stimulus package to counter the effects of recession.
