PAGASA Weather Forecast (November 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 2008)
Synopsis:
At 2:00 p.m. today, Tropical Depression “QUINTA” was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 380 kms West of Subic, Zambales (15.0°N 116.5°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center. It is forecast to move south at 7 kph. Meanwhile, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 170 kms East Southeast of Aparri, Cagayan (18.0°N 123.5°E). Tail-end of a cold front affecting Northern Luzon.
Forecast:
Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming widespread rains over Central and Northern Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides while Visayas will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest and southeast with slight to moderate seas except during thunderstorms.
