Holidays are finally over, but in behalf of 1011 staff, I want to wish everyone in Pandacan a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I hope you enjoyed your break and are now ready for the new year’s challenges! Do you have a new year’s resolution?
(Heads-up: this post will turn a little bit personal. Continue reading if you are interested) No matter what people say about new year resolutions, I love making them. It gives me a sense of direction, at least. And before I make mine, it is my habit to review my previous resolutions and see if I achieved them or not. Last year, these were my 3 general resolutions:
- monetize via Paid Reviews to support sites and experiment on various niche blogs.
- learn how to dance
- smile confidently.
Among the three, I can honestly say “dancing” was never accomplished. I was always itching to try “line dancing” whenever I was at a party. But my eagerness was always overshadowed by embarassment. I always felt like I was 13 years old — eccentric and shy rolled into one — feeling that all eyes were on me as soon as I step into the dance floor.
Therefore, “learning how to dance” will still be in my list this year, along with being more punctual at everything. I am running other websites, and I want to take advantage by monetizing them (1st quarter of the year). I want to read more books. As a matter of fact, I finished one just last week (“The Mississippi Trial 1955″) . Never neglect your brain.
I realized that I am more efficient when I have a”To-Do” list. It gives me direction because I am the type of person who wants to finish a lot of things at the same time. As a result, I don’t finish anything at all. The list solves this issue, all I have to do is follow it religiously.
How about you? Do you have a New Year’s Resolution? Do you follow it? Do you reflect on your previous year so you can be a better person?

We have something in common pala, mahiyain din ako ha, hindi lang halata haha! I also want to finish a lot of things at the same time but in the end, I finished nothing at all. So I started doing a to-do list na rin.
New Year’s resolution? I just want to be a better person. :D
