Happy Fiesta to all Pandacan Residents! Viva Sto. Nino!
Next to Christmas and New Year, this January Feast is probably the most celebrated event in our town honoring our patron Sto. Nino. Maraming pakulo sa iba’t-ibang lugar sa ating distrito. I remember in our baranggay, we had multiple stages where contests were done. (I remember joining dance contests when I was little — break dance and “Menudo” dance… I know JZ and some of my friends did). Various money-making booths were installed on the streets such as “Marriage booth”, and I was “married” for three consecutive years. To the same girl.
When our barkada became teenagers (seems like yesterday), we became organizers of events via Sangguniang Kabataan (SK). To plan the activities, we held meetings before Fiesta that lasted until midnight (because we started late :mrgreen), but it was really so much fun doing all those things.
Do you have your own Fiesta stories? Feel free to share them with us! If you also took pictures/videos of this year’s fiesta, paki-share na rin! ;)
It will probably take a couple of days (even weeks) before somebody posts a video on youtube, but in the meantime, here’s one that I found.
In this 55seconds clip, you’ll see the Pandacan Community Band marching while playing their instruments. This was taken 2 days ago, on Labores Street.
