pwede papunta ng taft ave, baba ka ng PGH. sasakay ka papunta ng paco, sa paco may sakayan papunta ng nagtahan. dadaan un ng malayan.
kung galing QC ang daan mo papunta ng quiapo (LRT-A o jeep) legarda, baba ka ng nagtahan flyover. meron dun sakayan papunta ng paco, dadaan ng malayan.
kung alam mo pumunta ng quiapo o sta cruz, meron naman mga sakayan na bus, pandacan liner, papunta ng pandacan. dadaan un ng malayan.

Hello there! I’m a student from Malayan :] I’m on my 3rd year now, so I think I can share many things about MHSS. Malayan is a school that deals more on science, math and technology. Our curriculum is more advance compared to other science high school. Although subjects are difficult and advance, I’m sure that students can learn it easily with the topnotch faculty we have here at Malayan :] I think our facilities are better than any other school. Laborities are well equipped and regarding with our computer lab which what I love the most, all computers are new and thank god monitors are all flat screens now :] MHSS isn’t a boring science higschool that you’re maybe thinking about. It isn’t all about learning science, comparing research process to scientific method, solving math equations and other stuff that are usually expected in a science high school. It’s a school that teaches students how to be more independent in life, to be a disciplined person, and it teaches to value the the things we have now. MHSS is just a new growing science high school but I can stand on my words that this school will help your child to have a brighter tomorrow :]] Pls visit our site :]

Yup, its still part of Pandacan but its very near the vicinity of Paco.
Heya! I’m one of the 4th year students in Malayan :-D
Its a good school. Honestly, it is expensive but it has its reasons.
The facilities are great although some of them come from Mapua.
Most of our teachers are approachable and friendly to students.
Our student population is small (A little over 100 for the seniors), with30-40 students per section. The 4th year level has 3 sections and the rest have 2. Usually, by the end of the first year everyone knows everybody in their batch, personally or by name and reputation. Our teachers also have more time to focus on us since we’re not too populous.
As a science high school, we have two science and math courses except in our senior year with only calculus as our math subject. Don’t worry though, we’re not overworked ;-) (usually depends on the teacher, thankfully they’re mostly if not all, merciful).
But we’re not only serious in the math and sciences, we take fun very seriously ^_~.
Our school has just started, so many kinks still have to be worked out and traditions to be made. So every student at this present time has the chance to lay the foundations, traditions & reputation of Malayan High School of Science.

Our faculty and staff are usually approachable & friendly.
Facilities are well equipped, including our different laboratories, 2 computer rooms (one older than the other), wi-fi, occasionally used elevator & shower rooms, abused individual lockers, many rooms enough to house even an elementary department (opinion), classroom projectors, & couches :-D

Tuition is P75k. Yes, it still accepting new enrollees.

for MSHS students. what’s your school’s passing rate in the UPCAT 2010?
There were ten graduating seniors who took the UPCAT exam, out of the ten, nine passed.

Hey, I am a student at MHSS too. If anybody who’s reading this is thinking of studying at this school, don’t worry, it’s not a bad choice.
Yes, the tuition is expensive. It costs about P70-80k but it’s worth it. The facilities are awesome :lol:.
Scholarships are also offered to those students who pass the required grade.

Down payments depend by how you would pay. Monthly, it costs 7K+ (i think) but I am not very sure how much it costs by quarter.
The UPCAT and other entrance exam results are posted on our school gates for the world to see
The curriculum is just as a any science high school’s. Heavy on Maths, Sciences, Research and Tech<- the best part. MHSS maybe a science high school, it doesn’t miss out on the fun activities like the much awaited intrams, prom, parties, etc… Students enjoy school life. I ACTUALLY am excited for school

Just want to ask students of MHSS if an average student can cope up with the curiculum of MHSS. We are impress with the school but am worried that my son won’t cope up if the school work is so demanding. Please share your insigths. Many thanks.
Yes, it’s easy to cope up. Teachers explain the lessons well making it easy to understand for anyone. Just have to >> really << listen. :)
I’m not very sure about the school work of other year levels. I’m already in 4th year and we have a lot of homework. It keeps us busy all the time. But as long as it’s not left till the last minute, it’s not all that bad.

One more thing, how is the relationship of faculty and students. Are the teachers caring? I asked this because in my son’s present school, teachers are unapproachable. I feel this is also important. Please share some more, thanks.
The teachers in MHSS are absolutely caring after getting to know them. They can truly be our 2nd parents. :D We can always share ANYTHING ( literally ) to them. Problems about school, friends etc. anything that may bother us and things like that and they’ll definitely make us laugh no problem
. My batch experience this with our teachers and we really are thankful ^_^. Most of the time the teachers are busy though so we can only have times like these after classes and school events when they are free. I just can’t say the same yet for the teachers I don’t know.
