Sagala 2009 in Pandacan

Santacruzan 2009 on Beata Street

May is the month of flower, and is also the time of the year to honor the Virgin Mary. And Filipinos do it by holding a Santacruzan procession (or Sagala). When I was a kid, I had been involved in a lot of parades during the month of May. Sometimes escort to my sisters, sometimes “taga-ilaw” lang. :mrgreen: Hit pa noon ang magagarang arko for Reyna Elenas and Reyna Emperatriz.

Andres was at the scene last Sunday (May 17, 2009) and he took some photos of the event. The procession passed by different streets of Pandacan, such as Beata, Certeza, and Sto. Nino. Did you see it?
