A year ago, we discussed the possible location of the new public hospital that would cater to the residents of District 6.
It has been answered last month, when it was reported that the 10-story hospital will be built on 8,800 square meter property on New Panaderos Street, Sta. Ana where the old Trinity Hospital site was previously situated.
Construction and Finish Date
The construction has probably begun as of this writing and it is projected to be finished in January next year. The hospital will be inaugurated on January 25, 2010 and it will be named after the late President Corazon Aquino.
Facilities: What to Expect
During the groundbreaking last August 1st, Mayor Lim said “the hospital will be state of the art—with one-way mirror glass just like in the more progressive hospitals; modern facilities like CT scan, laboratory, X-rays, and ECG.”
More importantly:
..It shall offer 90 percent of its 200-bed capacity for charity for the Manila residents, according to the statement of Tan Yan Kee Foundation…
Good Location?
Personally, I think the location is good if the hospital can be accessed easily by all Pandacan and Manila residents. A great alternative to Ospital ng Maynila and Philippine General Hospital which are both in the Southern part of Manila.

before this was posted here, i was invited to the opening & blessing of the free gym for all in belpaz, beata. there, i was inform by ms. sandy ocampo our deputy mayor, that there will be such treasure that we pandakenyos will adore.
from what i have learned, it was going to be only 4 story but it turned out that mr. tan wanted it to be the very first in its class in any part since he’s foundation is very kin on building this in district 6.
and another good this about it is there will be more job openings to us pandakenyos.

Is this the groundbreaking of the new hospital posted last Aug. 1 under the Events in http://www.manila.gov.ph ? Do you think they can finish the structure by 2010? I hope so, for it will benefits most of the pandacan residents and other near areas.
Hope the service is also free or at minimum level. :)

may anomalya sa hiring process ng staff nurses sa Sta Ana. Ang daming dayaan sa city personnel pa lang. yung mga nakapasa sa exam at interview sa city hall binigyan nila ng ranking top 200 daw. pero ang mga nahire nila yung mga may backer. di nila nirespeto at sinunod ang ranking. dami nilang pinapaasa at niloloko na nurses. nag aantay sa tawag na wala naman. simula pa abril naghihintay na kame. pinag training sa ospital ng sampaloc. tapos may election ban daw. nung nagbukas ospital nung abril 28 nagtawag daw ng top 50 sa listahan. pero may mga asa ranked 50 na di naman nila tinawag at nabigyan ng trabaho. ngayon ang dami na nila sa Sta Ana. Mga 68 na sila sabi ng city personnel pero yung barkada ko na rank 63 di nila tinawagan. ngayon maghiring na anman daw until end of july. pang rank 75 ako. umaasa ako na matawagan pati mga kabatch ko na ranked 80 85 90 at 100. pero mukhang niloloko na naman kame. wala na daw vacancy at may failure of hiring daw. sabi pa nung director ng ospital after 6 months maghire. bakit sila ganun. unfair. calling the attention of mayor lim. kastiguhin mo mga tauhan mo na mandaraya sinungaling mapanlinlang mapang api at mapanglamang sa kapwa. puro mha kamag anak kakilala at binabakeran nila ang ipinapasok.
sana mabigyan ang action ang di magandang sinasapit ng mga nurses na nagpakahirap para lang pumasa sa exam at interview para magkaroon ng trabaho sa Sta Ana. mayor lim. tulungan niyo po kameng mga biktima ng backer system sa tanggapan ng city personnel office
Nakakalungkot ang ganitong kalakaran sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno. Gayunpaman, kung alam mo na deserving ka at pasok sa batayan ng pagpili ng nasabing ospital sa tingin ko maaari kang sumulat sa pamahalaan o may kinalaman na ahensya. Wag na siguro si mayor o kaninu mang politiko dahil tuloy tuloy at paikut ikot na palakasan lang ng backer ang mangyayari dyan. Balikan mo ung city personnel office, kung maaari pormal na sulat na nagsasaad ng reklamo, meron kang received copy, para kung di pa rin nila aksyunan, maaari ka o ng mga kasama mo ng legal na hakbang.
