[Original Post Sept. 28, 2009]The entry about Typhoon Ondoy the other day shows photos and videos in various areas of Metro Manila. Today, you’re going to see the aftermath of the storm when the sun has finally shined on Sunday…
Below you will see the flooded portion of President Quirino Avenue. The water was knee deep and along the inner streets like Jacinto, Andres said the water reached the waist-level. The pic below shows that the water already has receded down to knee level.
Andres said that classes are suspended but he doesn’t know if private companies will open today.

Pidyong also has some pictures (Labores), and we are just waiting for him to send those to us. We are also curious about the situation in Balagtas and Beata, as both areas are near the creek.

Be thankful p rin tau mga pandakenyos at hndi nman malaking pinsala sa atin unlike sa Marikina,Cainta and Pasig. Let just keep on praying for the victims of typhoon Ondoy. Each one of us need to be responsible in disposing their garbage and we need to be environmental friendly.
Mga kaibigan at mga kababayan: Maari ba akong magpanukala na sa pamamagitan ng pandacan1011.com ay makapagbukas tayo ng isang calamity fund (Tulong sa mga Pandaqueño) na kung saan ang mga may mabubuting loob na ibig magbigay (taga-Pandacan man o mula sa ibang lugar o ibayong bansa) ng kanilang tulong sa mga biktima ng kalamidad (tulad ng bagyong Ondoy) o sa mga kapus-palad at nangangailangan ay mapagsilbihan. Ito ay maaring salapi o mga bagay-bagay tulad ng gamot at mga gamit sa bahay. Walang mapaglalagyan? Pwede naman nating ipadala agad sa ibang NGO o ahensiya na may kakayahang gawin ang distribution.

sa pagtulong po, di naman kailangan magbigay ng pera, pagkain o gamit lagi, pero pede naman sa pagtulong ng pagaayos o pagbabalot ng mga naibigay ng ibang tao para maihatid sa mga establisiyementong magdadala rin sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo gaya ng aking pinsan na aktibo sa pagtulong sa pageempake ng mga pagkain sa abscbn at gma7, salit salit nyang pinupuntahan ang mga higanteng estasyon na ito para makatulong.

I’m so happy at nakita ko ang Pandacan 1011. My family used to live off Labores St. We used to have Leo-Del Pharmacy & Clinic. My father, Dr. Leopoldo Bregaudit used to serve as Barangay Leader and part of Pandacan Civic Circle. Marami po akong goog memories in Pandacan. Salamat po for your website. God bless you all!!!

Kawawa talaga yung mga nabiktima ng Typhoon Ondoy, buti na lang at medyo naka-recover na tayo ngayon. ~
