I’ve been hearing about the scheduled price increase of bread tomorrow. Hindi na raw kasi maibaba-baba pa ang presyo ng harina. That’s bad news for me, I like bread! Aside from pandesal, spanish bread is one of my faves. I remember when I was younger, you can buy Spanish bread the size of a cathedral for PHP2.00.
Well, the price didn’t really go up. It’s still the same – Php2.00. Yun nga lang, the bread kept getting smaller. :mrgreen:

That’s how they trick unsuspecting consumers. And it’s no secret they’re still doing it. So, what do you think will happen tomorrow-will the bread get smaller or will the bakeries slap us with additional charge?
Below is a picture of a loaf bread bought from one of the local bakeries here in Pandacan (along Quirino Avenue). It cost PHP37.00 last week (I believe the smaller loaf costs P19) — magiging P40 kaya ito bukas makalawa?

Buti pa sa inyo P37 lang ang big tasty bread, dito sa amin P40+ ang medium size loaf bread. Eh what more kapag tumaas ulit yan, baka P50 na. Kaya mas gusto ko pa bumili ng Gardenia bread eh, hehe… mas mahal, pero masarap kahit walang palaman… :mrgreen:

P0.15 (kinse sentinos) lang and dapat na increase per pandesal, hindi yung P2.00/pandesal – ano ba yan. MINIMIZE YOUR GREED!
