On May 29, 2010, Joey Ayala at ang Bagong Lumad performed at Liwasang Balagtas in Pandacan. The event is one of the attractions of the 2nd annual Pandacan Day to be celebrated May 30, 2010. In less than two weeks, we will be celebrating Pandacan’s 298th Anniversary (Araw ng Pandacan). We started celebrating this event last year. The group spearheading this annual festivities – Samahang Sining at Kalinangan ng Pandacan – has provided a week-long cultural activities for everyone to participate in and enjoy! On Good Friday – April 2, 2010 – the group of writers and artists from Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika, at Anyo (LIRA) and Unyon ng mga Manunulat sa Pilipinas (UMPIL), will gather at Liwasang Balagtas for the “symbolic cleaning” of Balagtas’s monument. According to Manila Bulletin, National Artist for Literature Virgilio Almario will share seven [...] The many games and activities are just a couple of reasons why Pandacan Fiesta is so much fun.
