Pandacan's 298th Anniversary

In less than two weeks, we will be celebrating Pandacan’s 298th Anniversary (Araw ng Pandacan). We started celebrating this event last year. The group spearheading this annual festivities – Samahang Sining at Kalinangan ng Pandacan – has provided a week-long cultural activities for everyone to participate in and enjoy!

Samahang Sining at Kalinangan ng Pandacan‘s initial campaign for the 300 years of Pandacan is a tribute to Ladislao Bonus. The theme for the Tricentennial Celebration is “Dangal ng Mamamayan para sa Diyos at Bayan.”

I stumbled upon this gem while surfing youtube. Do you know Honorata “Atang” de la Rama Hernandez? In the accompanying article of the youtube video, it is said that she was born in Pandacan.

However, according to a wikipedia page, her place of birth was in Tondo. There are also conflicting information about the year [...]
