Bar Exam 2008 at De La Salle University on Taft Avenue, Manila
There are 6,533 bar examinees for this year from all over the country. Record-breaking daw according to all the news. The first quarter of the test was held yesterday at DLSU, and there are 3 more Sundays to go. The law graduates were advised to go to La Salle as early as 5AM yesterday because some roads were closed due to ALAY-LAKAD para sa Kabataan.
Meron ba d’yang taga-Pandacan na magiging abogado balang araw? Good luck sa inyo! If you know somebody taking the exam, please send them our “Good Luck”… maybe you could post their names and photos, too, so we can feature them here.

Some of my friends (in Pandacan, and around the world) like to watch wrestling. I did too, when I was little. A big debate during those years was whether wrestling is fake or not.
Eto’ng GIF file, watch it and tell us what you think.

Wrestling. A Sport?
Is “fake” the proper word to describe the action above?

300th Anniversary of Pandacan Parish - Will you be there?
A banner in front of Sto. Nino Church says “Countdown to Sto. Nino de Pandacan Parish’s 300th Anniversary” - 1,575 days to go. Well, that was last week of August.
Today is September 06, so how many more days to go? Do the math.
Ayon sa aking bubuwit, it is still 4 more years before we celebrate the 300th Anniversary of Sto. Nino de Pandacan. There still a lot of time to plan ahead, yung iba dyan baka may asawa’t anak na when that time comes. Paalis na rin ang mga oil depot ng mga panahon na yan.
Hopefully, sana magkaroon na ng Jolibee or McDo here in Pandacan within that period. What do you think?

This is the school that I think I just saw once physically because of geographical concern. Nasa dulo kasi ng Pandacan, bordering Sta. Ana. Despite that, the school has become a household name in our district.

You know what that means?
It means it’s only 115 days till Christmas! In the Philippines, it’s a common practice to prepare for the December Holiday as early as September 1. Here in Pandacan, Pres. Quirino Avenue is usually adorned with “parol” or Christmas Lanterns.

Parol (Christmas Lantern)
You’ll also hear pedicabs and jeepneys playing Christmas songs. The same can be said to residents, who usually turn the volume up early in the morning.
How about you? Ano gawa mo during the months of “ber”? Do you go shopping early? Ingat lang sa mga mandurukot and snatchers, matindi mang-”aginaldo” ang mga yan!
