Let’s kick off December with a PhotoBlog entry. In today’s post, we are going to get a glimpse of Central Street, thanks to Andres. For those who are now living abroad, check out the photos and let us know if you notice any change since the last time you’ve been here.
In the gallery, you’ll see the Philippine Independent Church, Central basketball court where we used to play when we were still kids (Pandacan Hikers Club holds some of their activities there, too), local karinderya, and T. San Luis Street.
Hope you enjoy the photos!
If you have any street glimpse request, or you just want to feature your area, feel free to post in our forum (you need to register - don’t worry, it’s free). We’ll be glad to post them here.

For this week, weather forecast says that it’s still going to be cloudy (not only in Pandacan, but in the entire Luzon). Same as last week, we’re going to experience isolated rain-showers so make sure you have jacket and/or umbrella when you leave the house.
Please click here for up-to-date weather forecast.

Facing south - Overpass at Quirino Avenue and East Zamora St. at night.
I think this will be the last post for November. Below, you will read a rant/concern (with a few minor edits) submitted by a concerned Pandacan resident Cooluntoy - a 1011 member - about this overpass in front of Jacinto Zamora Elementary School (left of pic, not seen) and YGEIA Medical Center (right, not seen as well). Read on and tell us what you think.
——————————
Former Congresswoman Sandy Ocampo built this OverPass almost 10 years(?) ago. This is a very useful thing to do… But not with the normal people who wish to cross the Quirino Highway, but for the so called Rugby Boys and the “GANGSTA WANNABE”. Dito po nagaganap ang mga sessions ng mga kabataan kapag wala na silang mapwestuhan. Last month, I’m not so sure when did this incident happen, one girl was nearly raped in this area. Minsan kapag tumatambay po kami ng asawa ko sa roof top, marami kaming nakikitang tumatambay doon. At alam nyo na kung ano ang ginagawa, RUGBY!!!
Authorities claim that the area is well protected, siguro kapag sinisipag silang bantayan yung area. Kapag uwian naman ng Zamora Elem. School, hindi na nila ginagamit ang naturang overpass sa pagtawid sa kabilang kalye, instead they chose to wait for the red light to be on para makatawid. Sana hindi na lang nila nilagyan ng Overpass doon sa tabi ng Stop Light… USELESS…
